This track was written fall 2015 after the unexpected end to a long relationship. One of the first times I took a serious and significant effort to combine composition with songwriting as a more "mature" musician.
I still think the vocals sound stiff and hokey; the product of singing along with my Finale playback to ensure everything matched. I don't do it this way anymore for obvious reasons.
